If an Earworm is a song stuck in your head, what is it called when you get a meme stuck in your mind? Also, THEN WHO WAS PHONE?

I haden’t thought about that stupid joke for months, and then it suddenly popped in my head yesterday and now it won’t leave me alone. Do I need to find a new meme to take its place, or is it a sign that I need to get the hell off the internet for a while.

Any other SF people planning on going to the Mechanicrawl? It’s this Saturday and it grants you access to a bunch of ‘mechanical marvels’ along the North Shore, most not normally accessible to the public. If anyone else is going we can arrange to have a mini-meetup for the crawl.

This looks really cool. I will try to bike over there, but I will mostly be getting ready for the Outer Cole Valley 2nd annual Ice Cream Social the next day. No link for that (gasp!) but if you want to stop by, bring a pint or a topping to share. Carl st. and Willard st. 1pm. Live music, BBQ, Ice Cream!

U.S. diplomat now a music star in Paraguay I don’t really agree with the Ambassador’s politics, but this is a really nice story and a rare example of the Bush Administration doing something postive for our image abroad.
